like the army song. "...living for the weekends." how apt. we just go through the motion on weekdays and look forward to weekends. when you start your day on a monday morning in ocs, you're like holding your breath all the way, all the way till weekends come then you let out that long breath. then you live for that few hours out in civilian world. then its time to hold your breath again and the cycle repeats.

saturday afternoon book out. meet up with friends for dinner. catch 1-2 movies. hell boy 2, red cliff, dark night, x files. then chitchat till past midnight. cab home. sleep. wake up late the next sunday morning. play dota, use com, pack stuff. go out with family for dinner. then book in.
we lan-ed last night. 12pm till 4am after watching x files.

its like. you do things because you know you wont have a chance to in the next 5-7days to come. even if the urge is not there, you just do it. to just let yourself feel better and tell yourself: see i've done this, i've done that over the weekends. i've done all i could to spend my weekend well and to utilise it while i can.

next week the 3 main physical training would have to be 4km fast march, 8km endurance run and SOC familiarisation run down. weicheng did 7.45min for SOC, remind me to beat him.

...same old shit again.

IPPT came and passed. and once again... Darren you've done me proud!!!

26 pullups
8.8s shuttle run
67 situps
260 sbj

ANDD.. check this out.. 9.4mins for 2.4km. WOOHOOO!!

ok larh its nth. very slow in ocs i know. but i improved from 11mins fat, slow, airforce FEP Darren, to a true blue WING PT IC of SIERRA WING DARREN!!!

heyheyhey. check the prev post man. see the targets which i set for myself. i broke almost all ok! im uber proud and satisfied. well done darren. weekends is yours to enjoy.

but i quite dui for my 2items.

cos LTA Twelve said that the best for each station will have thier name and picture posted on the board. and i topped two stations pullups and shuttlerun. but but but the sit up and sbj i got 2nd highest!!! wtf!!! sit up highest 72. i 67. if i had done AFTER Fredrick did 72, i would surely have done more! and sbj highest 270. i 260. and its becos my right foot was just inches/centimetres behind the 270cm mark so the instructor decided to give me a 260 instead of 270. ~!@#$%^&*()_+ if not i would have topped all 4 stations and have my face printed everywhere. ERRRH!

but my 2.4km seriously needs improvement. fastest was 8.49. im 9.4. i needa improve by 1min. wth.

anyway friday is muster parade already. wing appointment ics are supposed to step down and hand over to the next batch already. kinda sad. cos i like my role my appointment and my epaulette.

thur and fri is live firing for SAW and SAR21. den sat hopefully we get to play games. been long really long. since i last touched a ball and played sports already. damn hope i still have some ball sense. vball or soccer? movie, lan, club, shopping anyone?

and to junyu... i got my gold too =P have fun in taiwan!

1month into ocs training already. ok according to buddy. this wednesday marks one month. oh he just added to say if we count by weeks. its one month already. ok screw it. i just wanted to give some statistics and figures to start of my entry.

training is really quite taxing both physically and mentally. just like in the prev post in jiajie's entry.. they really have no qualms pumping in a 7km endurance run and a 4km route march the very next day. this week would have been one up a level from last week.

last week was 4km fbo routemarch and 7km endurance run and interval training 6x400m with 1.30mins per round.

and... by the law of PROGRESSIVE TRAINING in the SAF...

it was supposed to be 8km endurance run and 6km fbo routemarch and IPPT BACK TO BACK.

today was supposed to be 8k run. but it rained. so become in house pt. hundreds of jumping jets.. push up, crunches, squats and stuffs like that. and tmr is 6km route march. thanks to rongjun. he told me to see this as yellow route. 24km in tekong was mega roof. not this is just a simple speed route. im not supposed to falter. tks rongjun. i like the climbing analogy alot. tmr i shall flash my yellow route with ease. no complains darren. no complains. finish it strong and grow one level stronger.

ippt on wed. i really wanna get my gold. i really wanna hit abt 25 pull ups. 70 sit ups 8.9s shuttle run and 9.44mins 2.4km. the last time i ran 2.4km i did a 11mins. laughing stock. imma do a 9.44. within 1.5weeks.

I WILL DO IT. mind over body.

Kinda getting sick of blogspot actually. Or shld i say i'm lazy to change the tagboard and blogskin. Sooooo...seeing my blogspot dying i felt i shld get it started once agn....juz like gd old times. =))

At least to keep me occupied when i'm bored. Seriously! Life's not miserable but it ain't fantastic either. Feeling as though i'm juz goin thru the motion and getting thru the wks aimlessly. Previous goals i set earlier seem so far away~~~~~~

Most of my frens are entering uni soon. How exciting!! I can't wait for my turn to come. 2 more YEARS! arghhh..being the usual daydreamer, i've alrd came up wif plans on wat i wan to do when i ord. LOL!! I know its abit far butBUT.............at least it gives me something to look forward to.

For now its juz army army n army...Zzzzzzzzzzz...and of course meeting & catching up wif frens on the wkends.

This week I learnt that route marches in OCS have the speed of fast marches and have the capability of inflicting an enormous amount of pain on you (and your feet). OCS also has no qualms about putting a 7km endurance run on Monday, a 4km route (fast) march on Tuesday and intervals training on Wednesday (8 x 400m at 1:30 per lap).

Life in OCS is also really unpredictable. Some days I wake up and I feel like I can take on anything they throw at me and other days, I feel like I will immediately concuss on the parade square. One minute your APC is screaming and shouting at you, asking you to everything in everything out of field pack in 1 min, the next he’s smiling and laughing with you while doing PT.

In short, life is OCS is mildy good, but very very weird.

It has been a long time since I last blogged, didn't have the motivation to blog until now. Thanks to KEL THE PRO, seeing how he blogs regularly.

Seriously I can't wait to commission, life as a cadet really sucks. Now I seriously miss school and I can't wait to go uni. Remember how I wish to get over with my JC life, now I rather study.

TO LEAD I DARE,

TO EXCEL I WILL,

TO OVERCOME I MUST,

OCS!
the phrase that I sweared upon, my driving factor...
