its really mental war in my head before ippt, before the 2.4km run. esp after the 4 static stations, waiting to do the 2.4km run. damn nervous. always just 9.44mins away from gold. the feeling of butterflies in stomach, adrenalin rush ( or sometimes e lack of it ) and all the mental thoughts keep running through your head... man.. its quite torturous u know? anyway im done with ippt in common phase. yes common phase only. still got 2 more ippt sessions in specialised phase. boo



anyw e night before i stayed up till 3am. cos i couldnt slp. cos i got caught by instructor for using hp to msg climbers to climb on sat. ALL TKS TO SHA who refused to help me msg cos she wanna mug -_- i spent the whole night worrying and thinking abt the punishment they would give.

at least i got to book out on fri night. our first ever fri night book out in AI. and at least i managed to try tj's new boulder wall. cool wall cool colour cool gradient of overhang and cool routes. though i've become quite chui and i deproved quite a lot from the last few sessions. DAMN SAD. i dowanna lose my bouldering techniques!!! gotta train and maintain fitness in camp. and thats only the bare minimum i can do. maybe install fingerboard inside bunk can train abit of finger strength so can own terence next time we climb on sat. ERRR!!



2major exams over. ippt gold. i left SOC to clear. which is this wed. pls pray for me. I wanna pass it with less den 9.30mins so tt i've cleared soc and ippt. pls pls pls let me do below 9min for soc on wed ok?


past few days in bunk desmond lau taught us break dancing. i've learn 1-2 moves here and there. the "very basic baby freeze" and a not so smooth grass cutter. anyws. im proud to be learning sth new everyday in AI. like how weicheng and jy can have so much admin time to go mess and slack and play pool and go gym and chiong weights and play guitar and play pool. at least i learn how to break my bones and sprain my neck.


now im appointed cadet battery sergeant major. oh my. i hope i do well and dont screw up my appointment and i dont wayang like caspar.





just now day out with climbers feels good. make me feel whole again. too bad next week dont have. BUT NVM TTS Y TODAY HAVE. SO I CAN SURVIVE NEXT 2 WEEKS IN CAMP.

71/08 guys are really just counting down to thier comms parade. its like what, around 6 weeks left? dec 13th. this date must be contsnatly ringing in all their heads now. like really holding their breath everyday and just counting down. i dont think any female can understand this feeling of waiting or anticipation of the guys serving ns. its really a mental process. from today till that very day, they wake up telling themselves not to do anything wrong. not to screw something up. just hope everything passes by smoothly and like how rongjun puts it, " cross the finishing line" lol.

anyway on that very special day, i'll have like so many friends commissioning. jingwen from air wing as an ADA officer, rongjun from mids wing as a "i-dont-know-his-vocation" navy officer. not to mention grahams imba badge of JCC UPON HIS CHEST as an INFANTRY officer and of course weicheng as logs officer. next time can ask him help indent stores LOL.
not to mention all my other jc friends and tekong mates in all the other wings in ocs and the other vocations.

i seem to be able to accept the fact better that im still 3mths behind them. BUT i really cant help but envy them commissioning so soon. its really inspiring and i hope it affects me positively. to put me in the right state of mind for long till its finally my turn. heh. march 09. im waiting for you to come.

my phase in my cadet life now is really the "results" period. now we have two major exams on this coming tues and wed and all the many socs and ippts test which is really important as it affects your assessment as a cadet greatly. on a lighter note, i've gotten my IPPT GOLD! whee. i cant really be that excited since this is the first time i dont get my full marks. for my first time in life i jumped a miserable 234 and got a pathetic 4 pts for sbj. FIRST STATION some more. nevertheless my strong will and determination did not stop me from doing my best in their other stations and eventually getting my gold. but still im not like over the skies kind of happy cos its not my best performance, in fact my worst, performance for ippt. 24pullups 9s shuttle run 53situps 234sbj (wth) and 9.4 2.4km. im not gonna blame the automated sbj machine which many arty cadets do ( cos it srsly sucks cos u jump - 20cm of how much you jump on the normal sbj mats ) and not gonna blame the sit up machine for deducting at least 5 of my sit ups because i go down and come up too fast. ULTIMATELY I GOT MY GOLD i should be satisfied.



BUT


next friday got another ippt and if i dont get gold again. i'll have remedial training on saturday. means book out at 10am on saturday. means cannot climb in sch. means cannot try the new wall. means i 2 weeks nv get to climb. means i dont get to touch the tiles. means i still dont get to try the new walls in sch after so long.


SOOOOOOOOOOOO i must must must get my gold again on friday and im gonna freaking improve my results.


tues and wed is major Survey and Gunnery exam. i hardly studied. and its really alot of content and alot of knowledge to squeeze into your head cos they are really new to me. its really like maths and physics combined together and theres so much calculation and formulae that one question of calculating the angle and distance to fire the arty round easily takes up one whole A4 size of white paper. both sides USED mind you. and its just to find the angle and distance to fire off.
