haaaaaaaaHA! i am finally baq from vietnam and obs!!!! sooooo eventful i tell u... rili very nice and fun... alot of good stuffs lyk... nth and not much of bad tings happened... so.. yarr its all very pleasant... well... i rili dowanna blog out everything tt happened... but...i guess i haf to make an effort to... otherwise i will slowly forget all that has happened... so here goes..

OBS day1.. well when they startred dis obs ting..i was rili the fers few tt was rili rili enthu abt the whole shit... i rili wanted to attend it... so i signed up... and for consecutive meetings and briefings i din turn up... so... halfwae... i tot it was gone case... i wun be going for oobs.. cos.. u nid to go for a check up... and sign all osrts of forms and all dat... so yar... i dun haf the form and i din go for the check up... until the night before the actual obs.. it was 29 nov if i nv rem wrongly.. and onli on 28 night... 11 plus 12 plus at night... den i contacted mr khoo... i asked if now last minute can i go... he said yes... he came all the way to hougnag and passed me the form for obs.. i haf got to pack and sign the shit and do a check up.. so yar bloody hell it was freakin rush i tell u..

29th monrnin... day of obs.. 8.30 meet in punggol jetty.. the boat will ferry us over to ubin.. den... onli on 8.00 am in the monirn i rush to the doctors and rush to sign everything... well... it was on 29th monrin 2AM dat i packed my stuffs... i slept at 2.30 am 29th nov... den 8am 29th nov i at doctor rushin out everything... ppl lyk jiayi... ming wei... and zixuan pushed me to go obs.. wic drove me to such limits and desperation... kana kp'ed by mr khoo... my parents... scold lyk shit i tell u... its lyk damn sian diao.. and i swore to haf fun aat obs.. otheriwse i wuld haf been scolded for no reason at all.. so anywae... pack my stuffs into sis's converses sling bag and met at the jeettty... mum managed to rush me over in lyl 15 mins?

fers day... tuaght how to pitch ur tents... ( basha ) and how to tie knots... ( quite interestin... and very useful... but they one shot thorw u 5 knots.. how to rem ? ) den... i lyk to pitch the bashas... all thruout the nights in obs.. the gals did the knottin.. the guys did the peggin.. and carryin and movin of rocks... ( they stiu say i slack.. wth) den.. got use to ubin... sleep outside indeed not quite easy... imgaine ur head lie down den so hard... den u lift the blooy basha u see a tree's root stickin out.. but quite cool lar... we tried to disturb the gals.. but they all so un enthu so fast so early sleep.. not lyk the guys.. play play ahwhile b4 sleepin..

next day... tuaght how to kayak... that one i rili lyk... and so cool and fun... u kayak wid another person.. one behind another... and... the one behind controls the dirction.. the one infront is the power house... tt's my thoery.. aask all thoes hu partner wid me la.. see they learn anything from me anor.. i teach them how to kayak sia.. haha.. i am PRO ok... all y partners all trained by me.. can kayak alone liao.. cos guys muz take gals... stronger ppl muz pair wid strong ppl.. so naturally i am to pair wid strong ppl... tho hard at fers.. but when i teach them and they get the hang of it.. its quite cool ( ignore above.. too bhb and dowan face liao ) anywae... i done everything in obs b4.. its rili quite clinche..

next was to overcome the high elemetns... the ddd and the pole climb.. sum1 belay u up while u climb.. few soreys high and u got nth but logs to help u climb.. the belyers are nth but ppl hu hold u baq up when u fall.. so basically.. u r on ur own... ppl put me wid ZHAO TING.. the spoilt bread... but inthe end i pang seh her and pair wid zihan.. situation was lyk tt.. left lyk 30 mins.. and there are stiu lyk 4 pairs hu havent went up yet... landia-siyu and noriko-krystal took quite a long time up dere.. leavin hot much time for the rest of us.. so.. i and zhaoting supposed to go.. but i see no tim... so we change plans.. and i pair wid zihan... (zihan supposed to be wid jiayi) den ZOOM! me and zihan flew up dere in lyk.. 5 -10 mins? and ppl were scoldin us crazy.. cant help it lar.. i am fast.. zihan was abit of shiverin.. HAHA!!! but i was.. so zhai... i shocked myself.. i juz went up and guai lan up dere.. i up dere den i sing.. play fly... release hands all sorts.. crazy rite? at night we slept at another area.. quite nice... beisides flying fox structure.. damn dark..

next monrin.. found out the area we sleepin at got komodo dragon.. the big big iguna.. the damn big one.. freaky rite.. today was SEA EXPEDITION day... i was chosen as sea-X leader.. along wid zihan chicken and derek... muz take a diamond formation... take turns to lead and nivagate.. i tink i navigated the longest.. cos of the conditions.. not becos i wanted it.. (sorry derek zihan and chicken) so yar.. kayak 15km.. den i was kayakin on the canal opp my HOUSE!!! bloody hell.. i shout onli den my dog romeo sure can hear me liao.. so werid rite... u r on sea.. and ur house juz beside u.. haha.. so yar.. 15km.. no joke,. took lyk 6hrs for the whole shit.. around two islands and all dat.. gotta shit and pee in the sea.. i did it.. thanks to chicken jiiahui and krystal... anywae i was partnerin yihui at fers.. den change i pair wid krystal.. she rox.. i mean both of them rox.. yihui sacred of nth but ants... got jellyfish i already freaked up lyk shit freeze down dere lyk a goon she stiu " wah!! jeellyfish worr!! so CUTE!!!" it was lyk.. less den a metre away from me.. and i so scared it could jump or fly cum out and sting me sia... krystal very wad.. got auto detector.. i not rowin dat time she will turn around and scold me.. dun even haf time to slack... i slack awhile drink water she turn around.. OIE!!! y u nv PADDLE!! wth.. tks ar.. in the end.. im not very sure if we r one of the fastest boats... but i tink out boats always go off course due to the waves... onli our boat.. dunno y... so we haf to travvel longer den others to reach the destination... but.. our forwardin motion quite fast lar... can be compared to timothy-siyu and zihan-jiayi..

4th day.. Land Expedition.. trekkin and hikin.. carry bags bigger den me.. heavier den me.. all dat.. and walk lyk 10 over km olso... so sweaty stinky and all dat.. i apply alot of sun block and repellent.. haha.. the sun stiu burnt me.. dunno y... aiyar,. i kiasu ma.. so apply alot alot.. the instrutors say until so sacrry so i was tinkin.. apply more better den dun apply.. so apply lor.. den we swam in the quarry,,. rili nice waterss.. so fun.. and that tried to build a raft.. we failed... but it looks good.. (where's our pics!!) and den.. we had canned food.. the place where we slept was cool.. HDB CAMPSITE ROX.. ( tho ma chong rox better) and well.. tt's abt it.. we shit and peed and did everything in the open... cool rite? the gals was seen by cyclist tho.. i heard them shoutin (the cyclist) "nice colour!" LOL!!!! lucky she not dere.. if not the serangoon south sec cyclist will die i tel u.. take rocks and thorw at him sia,..


5th day.. ( i tink i got everything mixed up.. but the veents are the same.. mayb in worng sequence) we slept at ma chong camp site... we were facin singapore... (pasir ris loyang changiairport and serangoon area) mainly the outlines of singapore.. so nice.. and den.. yar very coool.. one of our instructors fell sick.. but it was equaly coool... again lots of team biuilindin stuffs.. sweat and all dat... but i tink the best was at night.. when the gals got the PERIOD.. and the guys haf to shit and pee.. i tink that part best... we become closer.. and lyk.. the bonds were strengthen.. we tallked at night.. and hardly slept.. i salute Zhaoting for dat. NO SLEEP AT ALL.. ok maybe the spoilt bread not dat bad... she nv sleep and we juz chatted al the way.. jiayi... zihan timothy siyu zixuan zhaoting alot lar... we tok abt out dogs.. romeo angelo and eeko ( dunno how to spell zhaotings dogs name) and all dat.. tok abt sports... wad we wanna do in the futre.. alot la.. i startin to forget le.. den monrin.. quite tried.. i faster chiong 30 mins of rest.. and again lyk i said zhaoting is the gal.. she din sleep.. den yar.. next day i haf to COLLECT THE DISPOSABLE UNDERWEAR AND TISSUES THROWN ON THE SHIT. bloody hell u imgaine.. u use ur hand.. ( ok wid a plastic bag as protection) u pick up the tissue.. u look at it.. wad u see? BLOOD STAINS.. oh freak dis shit.. y muz all the gals haf menses at OBS.. y cant it cum after OBS!! bloody hell.. they stiu complainin not enuff pads.. wah liao.. use LEAVES LA!!! equally absorbant and confirm 100% ENVIROMENTAL FWENLY.. wad the hell.. they one group stand dere.. discuss.. " eh not enff pads.. how ar" knn use leaves lar... cum obs stiu hiam so much... den i best lar... i go shit.. bring torch light.. clean back side.. forgot where y torchlight is.. i had to grope around in the freakin DARK to find that stupid torchlight.. almost touched my own shit in the process.. well yea anywae.. den weheaded baq to camp1 or 2 i dunno,,, den pack uo go home.. bot three shirts... one polo one t shirt one sleeveless for meimei.. den go home.. we eat at heartland kfc.. all 19 of us.. 21 went for obs... 19 went to eat after dat how united are we? the other two hu din went was krsytal and jiahui... i tink they are go home kia.. so nvm... we had fun all the same..

obs rili very fun... very team buildin.. and if u go wid ppl u dunno.. u cum baq u sure buddy wid that fwen... and if u already buddy wid that fwen... u cum baq u gay wid that fwen... its rili cool and fun.. learn alot and u become closer to fwens.. wad more can u ask for.. except for jiayi's " DUN EVER CONTACT ME " phrase.. i tink the ppl dere very cool... thanks everyone in both watches for such a good time.. i wun forget it i suppose.. thanks alot.. and i'll miss u guys...

i dun rili wanna explain and review the whole process of the competitions... i;ll briefly say it out tho..

nov5-6 wro.. WORLD event... participants stay in downtown east... den u compete wid ppl all over the world... lyk the RUSSIA team.. lol..

22-23 nov is fll... first lego league... nth much... sum stupid boring ting... din expect much to win... until on that very day itself.. when i arrived... when i toook out my robot... when i placed it on the map with so many trainers... tchers... supporters... and m ost imptly judges watchin my robot do its shit stuffs... man does it feeel great... i got the whole bloody full points...380 sth... and was lyk... woah... dis guy gonna win... judges smiled... sum went.. "wah! he did it all!" and den its lyk.. damn seh la! so.. ok den nvm... but in the end.. u can say i screw up.. u can say i no luck.. or u can say i simply sux... i lost all my points... and got a miserable judges award..

not dat i dowan dat award... but wad is dat compared to the BEST ROBOT PERFORMANCE.. or the OVERALL DIRECTORS AWARD?

in case sum of yall dunno.. i am dis close <----> away from TORQUE of chij tp... hu won the directors award.. tt's the biggest and modt prestigious award ever... i am lyk.. 10 points plus close? and i culd haf beaten them.. freak my luck...

and.. swiss cottage bagged away my robot performance award.. i repeat.. ITS MINE... my precious.. they stole it away frm me.. hahaa golem... anywae... yar.. when i see them doind the demo for the judges.. showin them how they got the highest points in fll.. i was ... sad? knowin that it culd haf been me dere... i did that demo for two yrs now already... and now.. fll i amm deprived from it.. cos i did not get the highest score... they did... 269.. is dat high? no dat isnt.. compared to my 380 sth... haissssssss

sad sad sad.. upset and angry... i prob wun feel dis.. had dis not been my last comp... plus knowing u were dis close from winnin an award... makes ur heart wrench... ive let down my team members... i am not fated to deploy my robot.. i expect the judges were expectin sth out of me too... and thus gave me a judges award to sort of console and commend my efforts...

haisss... wro.. they give top3... i get 4th... fll i get 2nd best overall... they give onli 1st best... wad is diss... y muz purposely lyk tt treat me... i rili want my fll overall directors award second... ARRRRRRRRR... i want it so dat my team mebers are happy.. i dowan it for myself... i want it for the sch... one more extra trophy to be place in the trophy cabinet... hais... i rilidowan it for myself... i want it for eveyone hu noe me...

oh well. wro over. results? dun tell u. wahaha. wait lar. ok wro. we got open category and the main category. open cat is for anyone below 19 years old. open cat is to do robots dat best resemble an athlete or sport. i din go for dat one. too hard and its a waste of time to join. the main category consists of three events. sumo, sprint and slalom/maze. pri sch get to do maze. sec sch get to do slalom. pri sch srpint easier, sec sch sprint harder wid obstacles lyk havin a ramp right out of nowhere.

for fuhua: 1st team- 1st in slalom
2nd team- 3rd in sprint

for chinese high: 5th in slalom 36 sec

for admiralty: they won sth. i forgot wad. i tink its 2nd sprint

for chungcheng high sch main? : 4th in sprint 40sec and 6th in slalom.

overall in singapore? chungcheng high did the best. waahaha. and as u can see.. i almost got my international award. ALMOST.

Today its 3rd november. World Robotics Olympiad draws nearer. The pressure inside me is increasing greatly. My palms get sweaty just by thinking about it. Can i make a name for myself? Can i conquer WRO? Can i beat fuhua sec, victoria sch, chinese high, singapore chinese girls, admiralty sec and bukit panjang govt high? I want to win badly. But i do not wish the schools which have been working with me these few days to lose as well. The issue is not a win or lose thing. Its how much u learn, experienced and change from it. Will this be a turning point in my life? Will my robotics knowledge be greatly enhanced? Will i change as a person? Will i blank out and lose control of myself? Can i stay calm throughout the competition and adapt to the new surroundings? Will everyone around me change suddenly? Will thier behaviour change? Will they treat me more coldly? What if i screw up? What if y robot do not work? What if i lose terribly and others laugh at me? Will i be a laughing stock? Will i win? Will i be featured in the papers? Will other foreigners talk about me when they return to thier hometown after the competition? Will i leave an impression on others? Will others carve or leave marks on my heart? Will i be interviewed on television? Will i do myschool proud or more importantly make Singapore proud considering this is an international event? You can call this a small scale competition. But the pressure i am feeling now is killing me. Will i continue robotics after this? Will i still touch lego after this? Will god watch over me and bless me with all the luck he can give? This is a crazy account. I am indeed embarrassed to type how i feel here. It feels weird. But considering my case now, what do i have to lose? Who knows i may just look back one day and laugh at this entry. Now that would be great entertainment. Well, i just ask for one thing. Pray for me real hard and wish me luck. I sincerely need it. However if you think that i have been going overly crappy and acting overly silly about this whole affair of taking part in robotics and joining just a minor event, then please wait till i bring you the good news. You better eat your own words and give me a treat. For what? Merely because i have just won the challenge and bet you have made with me. Wait for my award...
